Just Catching Up!

GREAT! So it looks like we have more rain coming our way! I really hate it because my allergies act up sooo bad! Plus, when it storms really bad the way it did this past weekend…my street gets flooded. Check out my driveway and front yard!

This weekend was pretty relaxed and chilled. On Friday, we went to Babies R Us to finish up the last of our registration. YAY! Bought my mom her carseat! She was excited to see it! LOL. Lupe put together the baby stroller that we got for us. The days are just flying by, which I am so happy about because I just can not wait to meet my little girl! Lupe is just as excited...he is constantly having dreams about her LOL! He is a silly goose!
I have also started baking again! YAY….I made this awesome Cinnamon Coffer Cake. From scratch!! YES…FROM SCRATCH! It came out super yummy!

I will post some more pics of some of the baby things, but I will leave you with the Belly View at 30 weeks!!

Sleepless in Houston! *sigh*

So apparently its "normal" to suffer from insomnia during your pregnancy. Unfortunately for me, I have a bad case of it. Its about 1:22 AM and I can not sleep, mother nature called about 10 min ago....and just cant go back to sleep. So I decided I am going to keep record of how many times I do this during the rest of my pregnancy. This is about the 10Th time. But my first time keeping record of it. So, let me use this time to catch up and type about whats been going on.

• I am now 26 weeks! I am so excited. Almost there! However, as I am approaching my last trimester, I cant help but to start getting nervous. I think a lot about her. I wonder if I will be a good mom. Who will she look like. Etc Etc. Then theres the symptoms.....here lately...PRESSURE, and some minor but dull back aches. Today I actually suffered from a few dizzy spells. This has never happened this much. But I read that its "normal" LOL. All I can say is...she is all well worth it!


• Today...Ma, Alex and I went to Michael's Arts and Craft store and signed up for Professional Cake Decorating Classes!! How neat right? The classes were super cheap, apparently they have some sale going on and we got the class at $22.50 each! This will be fun. It will be something us girls can do together!


• I just logged on to MySpace...and saw that Stink told me she mailed an invitation for Lexi's bday! YAY!! CAKE! Thanks Stink.


• I joined Facebook...and I am not really liking it. Its a bit weird and I don't know anyone on it LOL.


• This Friday, the kids, Lupe, Ma, possibly Al...we are all going to do the 3D ultrasounds! How exciting! I cant wait to see them. Hopefully we can see her features and get some sort of tiny peek at who she may look like!!

Ok, so now I am starting to get sleepy again! Good Night and I will type again tomorrow. Lets see what time nature calls tomorrow! HEHE...

Dr. Appt and update

The baby is doing well, Thank God! This weekend I had a scare...I started getting moderate cramps, which scared me because I had never felt them that bad through my entire pregnancy. I went to the Dr and she said I was fine....I just need to learn to relax and not over due myself. I agree! I am the type of person that tends to just keep going even though I am tired....and that is not good for me at this time. So as of NOW...I will learn how to relax and take it easy. Right now as we speak...I am sipping on a delicious hot tea, under the covers. My wonderful husband went and bought me this relaxation CD and this "Midnight Moon" scented oil which he has lit up for me and now, here I am...relaxing a typing LOL.

It's a.....

GIRL!!! OMG ITS A GIRL!! I can not stop smiling, and her daddy is even more excited! As soon as we left the Dr.'s office he went and bought her a Dallas Cowboys Onsie LOL.. We are super excited, and feel so blessed to have our little baby girl on her way!

The Big Day!!

So, tomorrow is the big day for my honey and I. We will find out what we are having. AHHHH I am super excited and just pray that God gives me a healthy baby! So....will it be a girl or a boy?? I will post it tomorrow (if the baby co-operates)

My parents are absolutly extatic about the baby, and I will be super blessed that my wonderful mom will watch our baby. I will not have a worry in the world knowing that my mom is watching her/him. My hubby feels super relieved as well. We both know that our baby will be showered with love and hugs and kisses from my parents. I know they will be awesome Grandparents! My mom actually gave us a gift....she bought the baby crib!! It's sooo nice! I will post a picture of it later today or tomorrow!

Adventourous Sue!

I would like to share with you one of the many great adventures my sister in law Sue endures. She is quite the free spirit…she enjoys outdoor activities; I would say she is a modern day Lara Croft Tomb raider. Here is one of her recent adventures…she went Scuba Diving; I can only guess it was in shark infested waters… Why the wild guess??? Well that’s just how she rolls!

This weekend

This weekend, the hubby had a guys night. He had his Dad, brother in law and my 2 nephews over. They had fun together, but while they were in their video game world. I went to go see the movie Twilight with my sister. I have to admit...the movie was cute....but not as good as the book. However- must say the main caracter Edward Cullen is what makes this movie and book intriguing. So I have already boought the second book....New Moon!

Closet Space

The hubby and I thought, that it would be a good idea to start buying baby stuff ahead of time. When I say stuff I mean diapers, wipes, bottles..etc...etc, you know the essential stuff that the baby goes through everyday. So my closet, now looks like a stock room...look at it. LOL

In the mean time, I am doing some online searches, as well as going to stores in the area to pick out a crib for the monkey. We decided to choose a darker shade of wood...not really cherry just a little lighter. It's also a convertible crib...which in a couple of years from now, it turns into a toddler bed! How neat is that!

Update- Week 14

I know I have been slacking on my blog (sorry Sue) but I have been so busy. Anywho...We went to the Dr. to hear the hearbeat, we got to hear it for a few seconds, but then the baby would move around. The nurse finally heard it for the 4th time and said "Ok, she wont stay in place in order for me to read her BPM (beats per minute) " So they went ahead and took an ultrasound of the baby's profile! It was beautiful! Here is the picture...it's a bit blurring, but thats because I just took the picture with my phone. Then on Jan 30th we get to find out what we are having!!!!

I have also been reading alot lately. I have always been into books and stuff like that, but here lately, I am just very much into reading. I have picked up reading the book Twilight, I am halfway through it, and hopefully will finish it this week so I can go see it in theatre. It is an awesome book. I am just addicted to it! I cant put it down, I have been going to bed super late just to try and finish it. I love it.

Friday- Dr. Appointment

Friday, my hubby and I have a Dr. Appointment, this time its to try and hear the baby's heart! I am super excited. I will try and see if I can record it if we can hear it. *crossing fingers that we can*

White Christmas 2008!

Our cute little neighbor came over and told my hubby to come outside....and behold what we saw! A beautiful snow covered yard! I love it! My baby and I played in the snow a bit, we threw a few snow balls! Look how beautiful it looks!

Today, my good Friend Tanya had her baby! Isabella Allen!! WELCOME, and CONGRATS to the new parents!!!

Morning "afternoon" Sickness

I had a wonderful day, this morning I woke up with just a stuffy nose...and during the entire day, I didnt feel anything else. However, when I got home this afternoon...I was barfing my brains out! I was just so blahhhh, but in the end its all worth it!

Baby Martinez- 7 weeks 1 day

Today I went for another ultrasound, the Dr wanted to see the heart, and sure enough...we saw the heart! It was so beautiful!! I loved the way it was just beating so fast!! I'm so in love

Nasty Weather

For the past 2 days- the weather has been very nasty. Especially when I am at work, and I sit by the window. It makes me super sleepy. This thype of weather makes me want to cuddle and lay under the covers and watch a good movie!! Check out what it looked like yesterday afternoon

However, on a much happier note!! Lupe bought me my DS!! It's an early X-mas present!! Im so happy! I LOVE YOU BABY!!

By the way....I could not find my camera charger and I was not able to take picture with the camera...so I was taking pictures with my phone. But I found it last night!! YAY

Week 6

I went to the Dr yesterday, and he said my pregnancy is going good! My levels are awesome as well. He did an ultrasound to see how far I was, because my due date was up in the air. So apparently I am 6 weeks!! YAY! He did an ulta sound and I know its very hard to see but on the bottom left hand side is the baby's spinal membrane and the tiny heart! I saw that tiny thing beat! This is all surreal to me right now!

First Ultra Sound

Today will be my first prenatal visit with the Dr. At this appointment, he will determine exactly how far I am, and hopefully I get to hear or see my baby's heartbeat! I cant wait! I am so excited!

Late- Pumpkin Carving Pictures

I have not had the chance to post in a while. I have been so caught up with going to the Doctor and work that I havent made time to post. But here it is...better late than never. The kids wanted to carve a pumpkin for Halloween. I gotta say...they both did great!

IT'S OFFICIAL...I AM PREGNANT!!

OHHH MYYY GOSH!!!! It finally happend!! Thank You God!!! At this moment, I am the happiest person in the world. All of my closest friends have known the struggle that Lupe and I have been through to try an conceive, but we did it!! HAAA We finally did it.

I went to the Dr on Thursday and he did some blood work. I am 4 weeks pregnant!

Medicane

I started taking some Glucophage-which is used for Type 2 Diabetics...but is also used for women with PCOS. Thank God, I have not felt many of the side effects, however; I do get nauseated every now and then, and I get cold alot easier. I have done my share of research and I see that this is normal. Also, there is an estimated 65% of women diagnosed with PCOS who get pregnant after this treatment! I am crossing my fingers!!!!

Our next step after this, is the Dr. checking to see if my tubes are not blocked. People have told me that its a VERY painful procedure!!!! Anywhoo. I will continue posting!

34yrs, that is a long time! We would like to wish you guys many, many more years of marriage. I hope that they are full of happiness and tons of blessings!!! May God Bless you guys always!!

Dr.'s Appointment

Today we went to the Dr. As alot of my closest friends and family, we have been trying to have a baby for 3 yrs now. So today I did my regular visit (Well Woman) and we went ahead and started discussing the whole trying to concieve thing. The Dr. did an ultrasound to check how my ovaries and uterus looked. My uterus was "Great" he said, but for some reason he could not find my left ovary. Well....My left ovary...for some reason is behind my uterus, and my right ovary has tiny cysts on it. He diagnosed me is PCOS- which really bums me out because I started reading some of the symptoms and I never really experienced any of it. However- I did see the cysts on my ovary (yes 1 ovary..the other one is somewhere in la la land lol) Anyhow...my Dr. said he would work with my right ovary! Which brought a spark of hope back to me. I am leaving it in God's hands...he has never failed me and I know he isnt going to! To those who love us...please pray for us! THANKS!

Halloween is almost here

With October literally around the corner, we get really excited because it's our favorite holiday

• It's my sisters b-day!


• You get to dress up and be what ever you want


• Eat lots and lots of candy


• The weather


• The scary decorations that we put up


• Lupe gets to scare the crap out of Sue (last night he was practicing)

But this year I think will be very exciting only for the simple fact that we plan on having a Halloween Party for the kiddos, plus it's the first Halloween in our house! We plan on decorating the house a bit especially inside. We have gotten some things already. I am definately looking forward to some haunted houses (real ones), ghost stories, making a jack-o-lantern...I will post some pictures later of some of the decor!

Chocolate Haunted Castle

I went to the store this weekend and came across this super cute Haunted Castle. I'm sure it will be alot of fun to set up! I will post the pictures after my son makes it. I CAN'T WAIT!!!

After an entire night of game playing, candy eating, ice cream eating, pizza grubbing...this is the result...a bed full of what looks like a bunch of college boys! LOL......they didnt go to bed until 3 in the morning!

Damage- Ike

We finally got our lights on 2 days ago! It was a long week. This was the first hurricane that I have ever been in, honestly- it was the scariest thing ever! My house (which is all brick) felt like it was shaking- in my head I was thinking " Any minute now, my roof is going to go flying off" Thank God, it did not happen and we are all ok , however, it did cause some damage to my house. This is what we woke up to the next day, all the mess we had to pick up. We were one of the fortunate ones, that had a livable roof over our heads...Thank God it was minor damage.

Hurricane Ike- Pre Party

Ike is on his way, and honestly- I am a bit scared, but check out how my family shows their concern:

First- Let take advantage of the "cooler" weather. They pulled out the hammick, and just relaxed for a few. (I wonder what they are looking at)
